Tree Planting with Year 7

Tree Planting

One of my favourite parts of the new academic year is catching up with our Year 7 pupils who return for our Tree Planting event. For those of you who do not know what it is, we invite the children back for cake, juice and an opportunity to plant a tree. The tree is planted to remember the cohort and gives them all an opportunity to say their final farewell to Dordon.

I was pleased to see nearly all of the pupils come to visit and they each told us their highlights at school. I will share just some of them with you:

-English is definitely a highlight, I love my English teacher!

-I have fitted in perfectly.

-I have been cooking in DT, I' m pretty good at it too.

-The canteen Miss, it's amazing!

-I have new friends.

-I haven't had one detention!

We want to wish you all the very best in your journey at secondary school. Remember, your primary school will always be a special place – full of memories, friendships and people who care about you. We love it when you pop back to say hello, so don’t be strangers!
