Firstly, I want to thank all of our families who have made a concerted effort to swap juice to water and crisps to fruit since we sent our reminder email out.
The staff at Dordon have noticed a real difference in what the children are eating at break time and
the contents of their water bottles too. Can I ask that children give water or flavoured
water a chance before refusing it as it will be far more beneficial for them in the long.
This week we also invited Justin, a family lifestyle advisor, into school so he could delve into the importance of a balanced diet, hydration, physical activity and screen time with our pupils. Mrs Beales and the Health Champions will be leading many activities this term to raise the profile of living a healthy lifestyle and promoting this in an informative.
